BE DILIGENT (II)

MEMORISE

I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day: the night is coming when no one can work (John 9:4).

READ:

Proverbs 10:1-5

[1]. The proverbs of Solomon: a wise son makes a glad father, but a foolish son is the grief of his mother.

[2]. Treasures of wickedness profit nothing, but righteousness delivers from death.

[3]. The Lord will not allow the righteous soul to famish, but He casts away the desire of the wicked.

[4]. He who has a slack hand becomes poor, but the hand of the diligent makes rich.

[5]. He who gathers in summer is a wise son;

He who sleeps in harvest is a son who causes shame.

EXPOSITION

God has equipped us with the ability to fulfil His purposes and agenda. As His representatives, we must diligently engage in His work. Jesus says, _I must work…_ (Jn. 9:4). Не recognized the urgency of fulfilling God’s mission. He stresses the need to work while it is day. Just as the night is for rest, the day is for productive labor. Jesus’ industriousness proves the importance of diligence in God’s service. Had Jesus been hesitant, our salvation would have been jeopardized. He preached and won souls diligently, thus demonstrating commitment to God’s work

We are called to emulate Jesus’ dedication, diligently laboring to advance God’s kingdom. God’s work faces opposition and requires divine touch (Matt. 28:19). Therefore, we must actively engage in His work without delay. Waiting for perfect conditions is needless; diligence is essential. God desires us to accomplish much for Him and ourselves, but this requires diligence. Heed the call to diligent service with all urgency and significance.

PRAYER POINTS

1. Oh Lord Jesus, I pray for the grace and power to be conscious of soul-winning and evangelism.
2. Pray unto God to give you the heart that is fully committed to Him and His assignment.
3. Ask that God will help His Church to understand the importance and urgency needed to do His work.
