Bishop Wale Oke Celebrates PFN’s Growth Since 1985

The President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Bishop Francis Wale Oke, has expressed gratitude to God as the fellowship marks 40 years of remarkable growth and impact since its birth in 1985.

Reflecting on its beginnings, Bishop Oke recalled how God used the crusade of Dr. Uma Ukpai in May 1985 to plant a divine seed that has now grown and spread across the world. He noted that the PFN was birthed through the instrumentality of twelve founding fathers who were moved by the Holy Spirit to build a united front for the Pentecostal movement in Nigeria.

According to him, the seed planted during that crusade has blossomed and become a great blessing to nations across the earth. He gave all glory to God for the growth and global impact of the fellowship.

Bishop Oke also spoke about the future, saying he sees a greater glory ahead because God moves His people from one level of glory to another. He explained that a new generation is rising, one that follows in the footsteps of the fathers and carries the same fire of revival.

Using the image of a thick forest, he said trees grow in layers, and in the same way, God has helped the PFN to grow in layers of grace with fathers, leaders, and youths each playing their part in God’s plan.

He concluded by giving thanks to God for what He has done and for what is yet to come, declaring that the PFN will continue to shine as a blessing to nations for generations to come.
