Pastor Omidiora Gives Testimony After 53 Days with Kidnappers

Pastor Pastor Stephen Omidiora has shared details of an alleged kidnapping in Kwara State. The CAC cleric said kidnappers held him for 53 days after abducting him alongside 23 others.

He said this in a video circulating on Facebook, where he shared his experience with the kidnappers.

The incident happened while they travelled overnight, according to his account. The attack occurred on Good Friday. Omidiora added that he could not identify the exact location, describing it as a remote forest hideout.

The cleric claimed the abductors repeatedly maltreated the victims. He also said they targeted Yoruba people more. The pastor described himself as a prophet and said he prayed consistently for survival during captivity.

According to him, the captives had no contact with the outside world. They tracked time using the movement of the sun. Omidiora said they remained in captivity for 53 days before their release.

Armed men arrived on motorcycles on the day of freedom, the pastor narrated. The group allegedly asked specifically for him by name. Omidiora said the attackers already knew he was a pastor from the start of the abduction.

He said the experience left a deep impact on his life and mindset. He added that the trauma still affects how he reflects on the incident and survival in captivity.

The CAC cleric confirmed that he has regained freedom. Omidiora expressed gratitude to those who supported him during the crisis, including donors, prayer partners, and well-wishers.

He also appreciated CAC pastors in the Ife axis, CAN Ife East, traditional rulers, family members, and friends who contributed to efforts for his release. He noted that community support played a key role in sustaining hope during the ordeal.

The pastor urged his congregation to remain prayerful and keep faith in God.
