70,000 Hear Franklin Graham’s Message of God’s Love
More than 70,000 people filled Buenos Aires’ Vélez Sarsfield Stadium over the weekend to hear evangelist Franklin Graham proclaim a message of faith and forgiveness marking 34 years since his father, Billy Graham, last preached in Argentina.
The two-day outreach, called “Esperanza ( Hope ) Buenos Aires,” drew huge crowds despite rain and chilly weather. According to the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA), over 8,400 attendees made commitments to follow Christ. The event featured worship music from Michael W. Smith, Charity Gayle, Redimi2, and Rescate, energizing the audience before Graham’s message.
“If you remember nothing else tonight, remember this God loves you,” Graham told the crowd. “He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, not to condemn us, but to save us.”

Rain on the first night didn’t deter the audience, which Graham described as a symbol of God’s blessing. He preached from Luke 15, the parable of the prodigal son, reminding listeners that no possession or achievement can fill the emptiness in the human heart.
“People search for meaning in many things, but nothing satisfies like God,” he said. “He has a plan for your life.”
Thousands responded to the invitation to surrender to Christ. Among them was Federico, a man who shared his testimony of forgiveness and renewed faith. “I felt a hug from God the hug I’d been needing for so long,” he said. “I lived away from Him for years, but tonight I came back like the prodigal son.”
Organizers say the campaign reflects a growing spiritual hunger in Latin America and a desire for revival in the region. For Graham, the message remains simple and unchanging: “God loves you and has not forgotten you.”
